Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately your software doesn't work on XP SP3. It is not a hardware problem with the interface as by using a serial monitor I could not monitor the open-close of the serial device by the resetting software. btw:I use a true serial port and not a usb one. Thanks for any help.
If you own a Raspberry Pi, then you could also use a little open source tool that I wrote. This can be an alternative solution, since not many PCs come with a parallel port anymore: http://www.netzgewitter.com/projects/speer-samsung-printer-eeprom-resetter/
